Case Study — Schweikert GmbH

Bin Picking in Sheet Metal Manufacturing

Schweikert GmbH from Lehrensteinsfeld — a systems supplier for tool making, press shop, assembly manufacturing and heat treatment — is embracing humanoid robotics in production and has invested in Lunes Robotics. Together, a bin picking use case was implemented: the humanoid robot removes parts from KLT containers and hands them off to the downstream station.

"Pragmatism instead of lengthy coordination, solution-oriented thinking instead of problem focus, direct implementation instead of drawn-out planning phases." — On working with Lunes Robotics, Schweikert GmbH

Case Study — Mr. Druck

Packaging Around the Clock

Rune Slembrouck, CEO of Mr. Druck, is not only an entrepreneur with a genuine vision for the future — he's also someone who, after an unexpected staff shortage on the night shift, briefly considered putting his loyal four-legged friend on the schedule.

But seriously: Rune is exactly the kind of entrepreneur who doesn't wait for the future to arrive. He wants to be among the first to show — together with us — that humanoid robots can be real colleagues. Loyal as a dog, working side by side with people, covering shifts, and reliably supporting processes day in and day out.

That is exactly what we are now implementing together: a humanoid robot running our software takes over the entire packaging process — from cartons to the roller conveyor. Reliable, precise, and night after night.

More background and details on this use case will follow soon on our blog.

Case Study — CNC Machine Tending

Loading and Unloading CNC Mills

In machining, machine availability determines profitability. Our humanoid robot takes over the loading and unloading of CNC mills: raw and finished parts are reliably fed in and removed without an employee being permanently tied to the machine.

Thanks to ARCS, the robot quickly learns new part geometries and workpiece carriers — without conventional reprogramming. This maximizes machine runtime while increasing flexibility in production.

  • Maximizing machine availability through automated loading and unloading
  • Fast changeover to new parts through learning skills
  • Deployment in night and weekend shifts without staffing shortages
